SALT PAN CREEK RAILWAY BRIDGE TRUSS REPLACEMENT
Brief
Design & Install a suspended scaffold installation to the underside of the railway bridge over Salt Pan Creek at Riverwood, to facilitate replacement of one of the bridge trusses as well as water blasting and painting of the bridge structure. The design and methodology to allow the scaffold to be installed and removed without disruption to train movements, and to maintain access for water craft.
Features
A barge fitted with a crane and boom lift was used to enable all work to be carried out without the need to access the rail corridor.
- Containment Deck Area – 80m x 12m
- Central trough to channel and collect run-off.
- Upper level walkways along both sides
- Stair access up to track level at each abutment
